So the Express Line now only runs once every hour ! How is that an "increase" in service ?

I ride the Ciry Line every day from Lad Krabang to PhayaThai, and then back in the evening. I get on at Lad Krabang between 6:30 and 7:00, and the train is packed by the time it gets to Hua Mak (in fact some people can not get on at Hua Mak because the cars are so packed). In the evening going back, by the time it gets to Makkasan it is packed - again many times people can not get on. Hopefully their rush hour, and the improved schedule, is quite a bit more than 8:00 - 8:30

Some transport has to be subsidised and this looks like one of them.Having said that I am afraid I would not dream of using it the taxis are cheep to use and far more conversant they at least take you to your destination without the hassle of changing transport mode half way through the journey.

If the minister and his deputies/advisors would care enough to try to use the service of the Airport Rail Link themselves they will've realized that the whole system is second-rated at best and is a shame for the whole country because, just trying to cross the busy roads to get to any station is so ridiculously next to impossible, and climbing up the stairs with a piece of luggage is a major put-off for any would be passenger.

Provide parking and make sure people can access the stations .The station at Asoke has a jungle of weeds growing around it and a 2 km access road to go in .Use the land for something instead of weeds .

The stations are still in the middle of no where, if they want to turn to profitability they should have feeder bus services from the surrounding suburbs and have a bus loop at each station. The bus and train systems should have a single ticketing system which allows for 2 hours (example) of seamless transfer without having to pay again. I can't believe there is such a lack of foresight in the planning of such multi-billion baht projects.

What Bangkok needs is a rail link that connects Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang - DIRECTLY. Especialily sense they have now pushed many of the Domestic Carriers to Don Mueang.

As a International travalier, I have arrived many times @ 11pm. After collecting my baggage, the regular mass transit was CLOSED. Just the unmetered Taxis were available for a ride to a CLOSED Don Mueang, from 1am until 6am. Hopefully the newly reopened Don Mueang is now open 24/7.

IMO - The Airport Rail Link needs to also cater to the late night arrivals. Just like the Immigration 'Departure Visa' section needs to open earlier than 6am for the early departures.

Adding more trips doesn't solve the problems.
