Dreaming of a better Bangkok

The race to be Bangkok governor is about to heat up. The first day of application saw 18 hopefuls put their names down to run for the desired spot.

As always, the candidates make big promises and, as always, we Bangkokians start dreaming of a better city. I don't know about you, but I've pretty much made up my mind how I'll cast my vote when the day comes.

Like every Bangkok resident, I wish for lighter traffic, better air quality, more parks, a solid education system and efficient infrastructure. These are among many other things that need serious rectification in this beloved city of ours. And just like all Bangkok residents, I know our shared wishes are least likely to come through. But, hey, we can always hope for the best, right?
