One of the most common labels I'm lumped with is the term "contrarian". I wouldn't describe myself as a contrarian, but if standing firm for what I think is right by basing my beliefs on evidence rather than on faith makes me a contrarian, then so be it.
I choose to state my case and base my opinions on evidence rather than walk blindly through life believing in something just because it is conventional wisdom handed down to me or because everyone in society believes it to be true.
Sheer numbers are not proof that something must be correct.
