Thai Sabai By Khaokho Talaypu restaurant is hosting a cookery course designed for those who love food and arts on July 27.
Held in collaboration with Baan Suan Nam Phon Homestay, the course is an opportunity to learn some cooking and styling techniques from food stylist and columnist Duangrit Klaewplodthook who will demonstrate how to transform an ordinary dish into a delicacy with an appealing look.
The archaeologist-cum-food stylist developed a passion for the art of cooking since he was a child.
He loved to help his grandmother around the kitchen and had a chance to learn directly from some senior food gurus including ML Nueng Nilrat and ML Tor Kridakon.
This is the first activity in the "Open the Cupboard No.1" cooking series and will feature two light and easy recipes: fresh flower spring rolls and spicy roasted duck breast.
The cooking series will take place every last Saturday of the month.
The class, to be conducted in Thai, will run from 9am to 4pm. The restaurant is on Tiam Ruammit Road (close to the Thailand Cultural Centre).
The fee is 2,300 baht, including ingredients and materials.
Places are limited to 16 people.
