TCC Hotels Group, a member of billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi's TCC Land Group, and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) have signed a management deal for Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn.
It will be the first of the Holiday Inn Express brand to be owned by TCC Hotels Group, which also owns hotels managed by InterContinental and Crowne Plaza under the IHG portfolio.
Located in Bangkok's Sathon district, the newly built, 184-room hotel is near numerous embassies and major multinationals.
TCC Land chief executive Soammaphat Traisorat said the group now owns five IHG properties across the region: the InterContinental Singapore; InterContinental Adelaide in Australia; ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe in Japan; and Crowne Plaza Kunming City Centre and Holiday Inn Kunming City Centre in China.
The latest addition is the Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn.
Clarence Tan, IHG's chief operating officer for Southeast Asia and resorts, voiced confidence that Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn will further enhance the group's portfolio in the Thai market.
