NHA land sale deadline extended

OAG to check Khlong Chan plot's propriety

The National Housing Authority has again extended the bidding period for a vacant plot of land in the Khlong Chan community by another month to give the Office of the Auditor-General time to scrutinise the transaction.

NHA governor Vitoon Jiasakul said the OAG will determine whether his agency is authorised to sell the plot and if it is in a water-retention area.

"The OAG just wants to check it out. We're very confident that we've done everything correctly, and that's what we have reported to the OAG," he said.
