Headphones are about to become socially connected thanks to the launch of smart audio products from Muzik.
Muzik, founded by Jason Hardi, aims to merge the worlds of consumer electronic hardware and social media with the company's trademarked "Social Smartware" system. This system aims, according to a press release from Muzik, to make "music instantly discoverable and shareable in an effortless way."
Essentially this boils down to giving users the ability to share the music that they are listening to on their headphones -- which are synced with the mobile Muzik ecosystem -- on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.
The headphones and other products from Muzik will be available to purchase from the fourth quarter of 2013, prices are reportedly around $299 but more information on the products will be released soon; see http://www.muzikofficial.com/ for more details or to sign up for beta testing.
