New menus on the Bangkok scene

September is mushroom month at Verandah restaurant of the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok.
Enjoy a mushroom menu exclusively created by the Verandah's own chef Pierre Rimoneau, from sauteed shimeji mushroom and crispy king oyster mushroom served with bouquet of seasonal greens from the Royal Project (350 baht); light cream champignon and bunapi mushrooms, potato and leek minestrone with aromatic parsley and chervil pesto (310 baht); Casareccia pasta with slowly braised lamb shoulder, morel and fresh black mushrooms (510 baht); porcini mushroom Agnolotti with freshly grated Reggiano, fragrant sage and noisette butter (420 baht); oven-roasted centrepiece of sea bass accompanied by ragout of enoki, shogun and white mushrooms in lemon butter sauce (590 baht); and pink roasted supreme of Cherry valley duck with forest mushrooms, Boulangere potatoes and fresh peppercorn sauce (490 baht).
