Located on a 26-rai plot of land on Cha-am beach, the modern-looking Hotel de la Paix has gradually changed its image from a hip resort to a peaceful vacation place.
Designed by a well-known architect Duangrit Bunnag, the resort has a concept of bold geometry, which also blends well with its decorative garden and tall trees as well as wooden furniture and walls made of stones.
Known as Alila Cha-am when it was opened in 2009, the hotel was later renamed to The Hotel, Cha-am, and has finally became Hotel de la Paix (which means ‘‘peace’’ in French) in November 2011. All the hotel facilities and the owner, the Bangkok-based company KS Resort, remain the same.
